Privacy Policy for Srishty

Welcome to Srishty (“we”, “our”, or “us”). This Privacy Policy explains how the Srishty mobile application (Android & iOS, package ID com.srishty.app) and website (https://srishtyapp.com) collect, use, store, and protect your personal and device data.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information that you provide directly when registering an account, reading books or magazines, or publishing content on Srishty:

• Account & Profile Information: Username, email address, encrypted password hash, optional phone number, display name, bio, and profile/banner images.
• User-Generated Content: Books, chapters, magazine editions, articles, poems, essays, cover images, audio narrations, posts, reviews, and comments.
• Reading & Engagement Activity: Reading progress, bookmarks, library shelves, likes, and follows used to synchronize your experience across devices.
• Device & Notification Identifiers: Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) device registration tokens used solely to deliver opt-in push notifications.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information exclusively to:

• Provide, maintain, and authenticate your account across Srishty mobile and web platforms.
• Synchronize your library, reading progress, and Srishty Studio drafts across devices.
• Enable collaborative magazine creation, editorial workflows, and community features.
• Send transactional emails (such as OTP verification and password recovery) and push notifications.
• Maintain platform safety, moderation, and security.

3. Data Sharing & Third-Party Services

We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties. We only share data with essential service providers required to operate the app:

• Google Sign-In: Used for optional one-tap authentication at your request.
• Google Firebase (Cloud Messaging): Used to deliver push notifications to your device.

4. Data Security & Encryption

All data transmitted between the Srishty mobile app and our servers (`api.srishtyapp.com`) is encrypted in transit using industry-standard HTTPS/TLS. Private drafts in Srishty Studio are restricted strictly to the author and authorized collaborators.

5. Data Retention & Account Deletion

We retain your personal data only for as long as your account remains active. You can permanently delete your account and all associated personal data at any time:

• Inside the Srishty App: Go to Profile → Settings → Delete Account.
• Via Email Request: Email support@srishtyapp.com with your username or registered email address, and your data will be permanently deleted within 7 business days.

6. Children’s Privacy

Srishty does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 without parental consent. If we learn that we have collected personal data from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information promptly.
